Roughly 8–10 standard bin bags per cubic yard. A 6-yard skip ≈ 50–60 bags, an 8-yard ≈ 60–80. Furniture and awkward shapes eat space faster than bags do.
Weight. A 12-yard skip full of hardcore weighs more than a lorry may legally lift or carry. That’s why hardcore and soil stop at the 8-yard — it’s law and physics, not us being awkward.
Call us — we’ll collect the full skip and deliver a fresh one (two hires, but you only pay one delivery run where routes allow). Honestly though: order the size up in the first place.
