Wait & load
The driver waits.
You load. It’s gone.
Thirty minutes of loading time while the skip sits on the lorry — then it leaves for our recycling facility. No permit, nothing left on the road, nothing for the neighbours to fill overnight.
Made for the streets skips can’t live on.
Conservation areas in Lewes, controlled parking in Brighton, the narrow lanes of the old towns: when a permit is slow, dear or impossible, wait & load gets the same skip to you without it ever standing on the highway.
- No council permit, no permit fee, no waiting for one to be issued
- Thirty minutes’ loading — two prepared people fill a 6-yard comfortably in that
- Have everything staged by the kerb before the lorry arrives; that’s the whole trick
- Same waste rules as any skip: level loads, no prohibited items, heavy waste ≤ 8-yard
- Booked as an add-on to any skip order — pick “Wait & load slot” in the extras step (+£40)
Quick answers
Is 30 minutes really enough?
With the waste staged by the kerb beforehand — yes, comfortably. It is not enough to start dismantling a shed when the lorry pulls up. If you know you’ll need longer, tell us when booking and we’ll price extra waiting time honestly up front.
Which sizes can I wait & load?
Any of our standard skips, 4 to 8-yard being the practical favourites. The same heavy-waste rule applies: hardcore and soil in 8-yard and below.
When does it beat a normal hire?
Whenever a permit would cost more than the slot, take too long, or be refused — and whenever you simply don’t want a skip sitting outside for a week. Brighton CPZ streets are the textbook case.
Stage it. Load it. Wave it off.
Add a wait & load slot to any skip order — the form prices it instantly.
